Every month, we introduce some of the Kingston Wheelers and Iwona Kalamajska is here for March 2008 along with Martin Anscombe. Iwona (prounouced Ivona) took up cycling after being inspired by the Tour de France's visit to London last summer.

What made you start cycling?I burst into a passion for cycling thanks to my boyfriend Chris. He helped me to discover how much pleasure this sport can give.
Why did you join Kingston Wheelers?The possibility of meeting new people with who I can share my passion about cycling.
Date you joined the Club: November 2007.
What bike do you ride? A Specialized Allez.
Give us a brief cycling background: My story with cycling has started just recently, after when I saw Tour the France Prologue in London. I bought a road bike, and started riding and being coached by my boyfriend.
What was your best performance?I haven’t got much experience but I believe that everything is in front of me.
What was your worst day on the bike? My first day on the road bike with those funny cleats pedals. I ended up on the floor.
Who is your favourite pro or inspiration? Lance Armstrong - I am amazed of his performance and achievements.
What is your favourite bike food? Polish sausage.
