Obviously we have the women's road race this Sun so some may find it difficult to get to LW.

I suggest that unless you are sure that you can get across the closed roads that you head east.

I'll be there and will take a ride to Fanny's Farm:

A longer ride out towards Kent for those who want it:

http://www.bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx?course=325809

Or South of Gatwick:

http://www.bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx?course=216335

A shorter one going to the Bike Beans cafe in Ashtead:

If anyone wants to claim any of the above please post.

See you Sun.

I will take a quick ride out to Kent, stopping at 96 Degrees.

Here's the route: http://bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx?course=422711

120km, 1200m of climbing. Experienced riders only please. Back by 2:30pm latest, I'd estimate.

If we run into difficulty (or if enough people moan Smile) we could skip the loop around Bough Beech Reservoir, or go up Toys from Brasted and back down the way we came. Plenty of options.

I'll take this ride: http://www.bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx?course=437709

55 miles with quite a bit of climbing, and a stop at Priory Farm. Club run pace ride with the aim of keeping everyone together, and probably back for 1.30pm.

Will there be a newbie/slower ride tomorrow? Or is everyone going to be caning it and pretending they are in an Olympic peloton?

I'm going to pretend to be in an olympic peloton, by sitting at the back for 250km and letting four guys in blue do all the hard work, so as to mess up EVERYONE's chances. Not that I'm bitter or anything

The ride to Ashtead, the BikeBeans Cafe, is suitable for that but someone had better know the way or downlaod the route onto a Garmin or equivalent.

No one forced them to only have a plan A - what happened was somewhat predictable and they did have riders for plan B Idea
