It looks like the Olympic organisers picked a route for the weekend’s racing from one of our club runs. As great as the spectacle will be, the women’s road race on Sunday will mean many local road closures and therefore the Sunday club run will be disrupted.

There’s more information and tips on route ideas over on the forum but if you were going to skip a club run this year, this Sunday is probably the time to do it, think about going to give the riders a cheer instead and avoiding Kingston.

Normal things will resume the following week. As ever people are needed to help with routes and giving newcomers advice. If you’re new and been on the ride and liked it and want to come back, then it’s time to join the club.
